The new ES-Series Soprano Saxophone replace the old E-Series III soprano in the Kenny G line of saxophones. These sopranos are made by a Taiwan company and the quality is outstanding. The single post construction provides a great tone, excellent dynamic range and response. They have great intonation (How they play in tune), response throughout the entire range of the saxophone and are just plain fun to play. There is no better saxophone in this price range…. it will do everything you need it to do.
Single Post Construction and Lacquered Body and Keys are a great combination…. the soprano vibrates very well, once again great response and intonation. Exceptional dynamic range.
The soprano saxophone is a higher-register variety of the saxophone, a woodwind instrument s invented in the 1840s. The soprano is the third smallest member of the saxophone family, which consists (from smallest to largest) of the soprillo, sopranino, so soprano, alto, tenor, batitone, bass, contra-bass and a modern tubax. Soprano saxophones are the smallest saxophone in common use.
